RVC allocates MSP funds to infrastructure projects
September 8, 2020
Rocky View County (RVC) will break ground on construction projects thanks to nearly $4.7 million provided through a recently announced provincial capital infrastructure funding program. During a regular council meeting Sept. 1, council unanimously approved budget adjustments to receive funds from the Municipal Stimulus Plan (MSP) for five projects that fit the Alberta government’s criteria… The fifth project on the list is the extension of a water line to Prince of Peace Manor. According to council’s agenda report, the project would extend the municipal water system from the Conrich pump station to the Prince of Peace lands to support both existing residents and new growth. The project carries a cost of $5 million, with $3 million to be funded by a local improvement tax and/or developer contribution, and the remaining $2 million from the MSP funds.

Prince of Peace MSDP receives amendment
September 14, 2020
The land containing a Lutheran school and retirement community on the east boundary of Calgary will be subdivided and sold following a decision by Rocky View County (RVC) council. At a regular meeting Sept. 1, council passed an amendment to the Prince of Peace Master Site Development Plan (MSDP) that will facilitate interim ownership of three new future lots.
The land in question is an 86.9-acre parcel located at the southwest junction of Highway 1 and Garden Road, which contains the existing Prince of Peace Lutheran School; Prince of Peace Harbour, a dementia care facility; and Prince of Peace Manor, a retirement community.
Prince of Peace MSDP receives amendment
Extending “city water” to properties under Sage management will eliminate the need to truck in water at a greater expense and support further development on the undeveloped land. Subdivision divides the current property into smaller units that will be easier for Sage to sell as opposed to trying to sell the entire property as a single unit.
Overall this is good news for the Sage / Prince of Peace shareholders.
In regards to the last meeting which was held November 28 / 2020 are. We going to get some information sent out? I could not get it on my Computer, would like to know what happened and was discussed. Thanks . Or it can be Emailed.
