You know the phrase “It’s God’s money, why are you mad?” that’s been related from certain places with respect to the CEF/DIL losses?
Would you believe it’s a tactic used by abusers and their defenders to minimize what the abuser did in an effort to get the abuser off the hook?
Here’s a citation from one of Wade’s posts on the matter:
The injury scale is used to give the impression that the abuse was not “really” abuse. Phrases like “boundaries were crossed” or “mistakes were made” blur the true nature of the wrong. Attempts are made to suggest no serious harm was done and that too much is being made of it.
